About Us

Who We Are

GreenHeal Alliance Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation registered in India under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.

The foundation works at the intersection of climate change, environmental health, and public health systems to build climate-resilient and healthier communities. Founded by public health professionals, we respond to the growing reality that climate change is one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time.

Increasing heatwaves, air pollution, water stress, and environmental degradation are disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities — particularly in low-resource settings. We exist to change that.

"When nature thrives, humanity thrives — and every community deserves to be part of that future."

Our Vision
A just and sustainable world

Every community — especially the most vulnerable and marginalised — thrives in health, equity, and harmony with the environment. People enjoy clean air, safe water, and nutritious food as a matter of right, with health systems that respond to environmental threats without leaving anyone behind.

Our Mission
Advancing climate-resilient health

Committed to advancing climate-resilient health and inclusive development for vulnerable communities through evidence, action, and partnership — healing ecosystems and empowering communities through inclusive collaboration, sustainable action, and grassroots innovation.

How We Work

Strategic Approach

Seven mutually reinforcing strategies connecting grassroots communities to broader systems of change.

1
Community-centred programme design

We design all interventions — including digital and AI-enabled solutions — based on community needs and local context, ensuring ownership and sustainability from the ground up.

2
Strengthening health systems for climate responsiveness

We support health facilities in adopting climate-sensitive protocols and promote green, sustainable health facility models to ensure climate-responsive service delivery.

3
Evidence generation and knowledge dissemination

We conduct and publish research on climate–health linkages, translating findings into policy briefs, case studies, and accessible knowledge products for diverse audiences.

4
Multi-sectoral collaboration and advocacy

We engage government departments, civil society, educational institutions, NGOs, and development agencies to advocate for evidence-based policies and health equity at scale.

5
Capacity building and human resource development

We conduct structured training, skill development workshops, and leadership programmes for frontline health workers, community stakeholders, volunteers, and youth.

6
Monitoring, evaluation, and accountability

We establish robust M&E systems across all programmes to ensure accountability, measure impact, and generate learning that continuously improves delivery.

7
Global linkages and knowledge exchange

We foster international collaborations and digital knowledge exchange to bring global best practices into local contexts and position Indian community health experience globally.
